44. Sparrows
Let's always be
with our friends.
Let's visit our neighbors
to say, "Hello,
here is today's flyer."
Let's ask their plans for the morrow.
To keep our neighborhood safe,
we will alight on our neighbors' gates
until they return home.
Let's fly together
to our friends' and teachers' homes,
filling our feathers with wind.
Today we will guide the children
on their way to school,
and on their way home.
We will wave our safety flags,
and cross the streets together
at the intersection, next to the police guards.
Children love the sparrows
and their small flags.
"Your chirping
is beautiful,"
says one child
to the sparrows.
"Your voice too!"
Sparrows know how
to praise children.
45. Les moineaux
Ne quittons jamais
nos amis.
Rendons visite à nos voisins
pour leur dire, "Bonjour,
voici le bulletin du jour.
Quels sont vos projets pour demain?"
Nous surveillerons le voisinage;
perchés sur leur clôtures, nous attendrons
leur retour.
Volons ensemble vers
les maisons de nos amis et de nos maitres
en gonflant nos plumes de vent.
Aujourd'hui nous guiderons les enfants
sur le chemin de l'école
et sur le chemin du retour.
Nous brandirons nos drapeaux de sécurité
et nous traverserons les rues avec eux,
aux croisements, près des guérites de police.
Les drapeaux des moineaux sont petits,
mais tous les enfants les aiment.
"Ton gazouillis
est beau,"
dit un des enfants
aux moineaux.
"Ta voix aussi!"
Les moineaux savent
flatter les enfants.
