1947年に北海道に生まれる。日本、ベルギー、フランス、ルーマニアにおいて26冊の詩集を出版する。4枚のCD、及び俳句のDVDを制作。詩は10数か国の言語に翻訳される。ベルギー、アイルランド、フランス、カナダ、フィンランドの国際詩人大会に招待される。1963年、全国さくらクレパス美術展特選 (日本)、2011年、国際詩人賞アントニオ・ヴィッカロ賞（カナダ）、2014年、 国際文学賞ジェラルド・マンリー・ホプキンズ協会賞（アイルランド）を受賞。
Shizue Ogawa was born in 1947 in Hokkaido, the northernmost island in Japan. She has published twenty-six poetic volumes in Japan, Belgium, France and Romania. She produced four CDs and Haiku DVD. Her poetry has been translated into more than ten foreign languages. She has been invited to international poetry festivals in Belgium, Ireland, France, Canada, and Finland. In 1963, she received the Grand Prize of the Sakura National Exhibition for her pastel art works (Japan), and in 2011, the Prix International de Poésie Antonio Viccaro (Canada). In 2014, she received the Gerard Manley Hopkins Society Award (Ireland).
Née en 1947 dans le comté de Kasai, sur l’île de Hokkaido, la plus septentrionale des îles du Japon. Elle a publié vingt-six livres au Japon, en Belgique, en France et en Roumanie. Elle a publié quatre CD et un DVD pour haiku. De nombreux poèmes ont été traduits en plus de dix langues du monde. Invitée au Festival International de Poésie en Belgique, Irlande, France, Canada et Finlande. En 1963, elle a reçut le Grand Prix de l’Exposition Nationale Sakura pour œuvres d’art au crayon pastel (Japon). En 2011, elle a reçut le Prix International de poésie Antonio Viccaro (Canada) et en 2014, le Gerard Manley Hopkins Society Award (Irlande).
